This time of year you may have noticed how crowded the gym is. I think it’s great that so many people are wanting to get into the gym and do something to make themselves feel better and be healthier. Although classes are crowded, parking is at a premium and it may be challenging to get into your favorite TRX or Barre class, can you feel the energy around you? That electric feeling of people striving for a common goal? I say tap into it! Look around you and let others’ commitment and motivation inspire you to keep on track and be your best self! And if you can’t seem to get into a class or the floor is a bit too crowded for your taste, step out of your comfort zone and sign up for a workshop or some personal training or Pilates.
We have a lot of things going on that you can take advantage of – Todd’s Cardio 101 series, where you will learn how to get the most bang for your buck from the cardio equipment (seriously, if you always hit the treadmill or rower you should sign up for one of these, you will be really surprised what you can do!), Yoga workshops, and Cycle workshops. And if you do the same things all the time, I bet you will be pleasantly surprised when you try something new.
So embrace the energy that is around you right now. Say hi to someone you don’t know and encourage each other during a class or workout. Shift your thinking to make what is happening around you work to your advantage!
